Solving Aviation Maintenance Challenges
While working for an aviation company, mechanics repeatedly incorrectly performed this maintenance task. In a race against time, I was tasked by the training manager, to orchestrate the creation of an eLearning module, test questions, and on-the-job training (OJT) within a tight two-week deadline, while employing the rigorous ADDIE model to ensure efficacy at every stage. Through meticulous research, I uncovered multiple deficiencies in the maintenance process and set out to rectify them, establishing clear learning objectives and crafting a comprehensive outline and storyline prior to initiating the development phase.
Leveraging tools like DeVinci Resolve for video creation and collaborating with ChatGPT to refine the presentation's language, I meticulously pieced together a compelling narrative within a PowerPoint framework. Within a month, over 100 mechanics successfully completed both the eLearning and OJT that I conducted, earning resounding approval from management and supervisors. Subsequently, the material underwent scrutiny by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), earning their seal of approval.
Since its implementation, not a single mishap has occurred related to the addressed issue, solidifying the eLearning as a cornerstone of our annual training regimen.
